In this financial year, Candela VR CIC attended an outreach event held by the University of Warwick, engaging directly with school-age pupils and their parents from the West Midlands community. At the event, the team promoted physics and STEM as accessible and rewarding study and career pathways, and gave attendees the opportunity to speak with current and recent Physics undergraduates about routes into the subject. Alongside this, the company focused on consolidating and reviewing feedback gathered from students, teachers, volunteers, and event attendees from prior and current engagements. This feedback was used to inform improvements to the VR product and session materials. Investing in product development during this period directly supports the company’s community interest objectives by strengthening the quality of the resources that will be delivered free of charge to schools.
Candela VR CIC’s stakeholders include school pupils, teachers, parents, university partners, and the company’s volunteer team. During the financial year, feedback was gathered from attendees at the University of Warwick event in which the company participated, and previously collected feedback from school sessions and volunteers was further reviewed. This input has been used to shape ongoing improvements to the VR product and session structure.
