Company activities and impact

Ormonde Ensemble are a UK-based wind quintet who are particularly passionate about seeking out, commissioning, and performing lesser-known and underrepresented works. The group has also begun a publishing label - Ormonde Editions. The catalogue includes commissions and new arrangements that the group has performed in their concerts. Ormonde Ensemble are experienced education workshop leaders and are looking forward to expanding this work over the coming year, with visits planned to schools across London. The group has performed concerts around the UK, providing communities with engaging evenings of music. This also provides income to the musicians. Ormonde Editions has increased accessibility to lesser known and underrepresented music in the chamber music literature. The works have been purchased mainly by institutional libraries, increasing the performance of underrepresented works at a student level The ensemble's educational workshops aim to bolster intake for GCSE music, by sparking interest in composition and wind instruments. The workshops will also provide income for a composer, who will join us in the sessions to talk about their piece. Support environmentally conscious publishing by providing instant access digital copies of arrangements.
