Established operational momentum: Building on our transition out of dormancy year before last, UDES CIC successfully executed its inaugural project to address the international digital divide. Proven fundraising track record: Our previous GoFundMe campaign raised £710, with all proceeds directly allocated to empowering vulnerable street children in Bangladesh through digital literacy and computing education. Expanded awareness: The pilot initiative successfully highlighted the severe educational inequities affecting disadvantaged youth in South Asia. Future delivery pipeline: Following the success of this first milestone, we have been and are actively planning to scale this model, replicating similar targeted fundraising and educational delivery campaigns this year and into next
Building on the methodology established during previous year’s project, UDES CIC continues to use data-driven and stakeholder-led planning for our upcoming delivery cycle. In the previous year to last, we cross-referenced UN Human Development Index (HDI) metrics with direct field insights from the Leedo Street Children’s Organisation and the Bangladesh Ministry of Education. This consultative approach allowed us to design and deliver highly interactive, accessible computing workshops tailored specifically for vulnerable youth with limited formal schooling. As we plan our next campaign for this year and next, we are actively leveraging these established partnerships and consulting with community, NGO, and government actors to scale our impact sustainably.
