Company activities and impact

During the financial year Hidden Beach Organisation CIC continued to deliver cultural, educational and community-focused projects across Hastings and the surrounding area. Our primary objectives are to improve community wellbeing, encourage participation in arts and culture, and support local businesses, artists and community organisations. Our activities included planning and delivering Hidden Beach Festival and the Hidden Beach Summer of Culture programme, providing a diverse range of live music, workshops, family activities, wellness events and community engagement initiatives. We worked closely with local artists, musicians, volunteers, schools, charities and independent businesses to create accessible cultural experiences for residents and visitors. The organisation has supported local economic development by creating opportunities for local traders, food vendors, performers technicians and creative practitioners. We have also developed volunteering opportunities, educational projects, music workshops and partnerships with community organisations to encourage skills development and social inclusion. Thgroughout the year we have continued to strengthen partnerships with local businesses through sponsorship opportunities, advertising initiatives and collaborative marketing campaigns, helping to increase visibility for independent businesses while generating sustainable income to support community activities. The organisation remains committed to making events as inclusive and accessible as possible by offering free or subsidised opportunities wherever possible, particularly for families, young people, key workers and community groups. Our work continues to contribute positively to the cultural, social and economic wellbeing of Hastings.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders include local residents, volunteers, artists, performers, community groups, local businesses, sponsors, public authorities, traders, visitors and partner organisations. Throughout the year we have consulted with stakeholders through regular meetings, online surveys, social media engagement, public consultations, volunteer recruitment, trader meetings, sponsor discussions and ongoing communication with local authority officers, Safety Advisory Group (SAG) representatives and emergency services. Feedback received has influenced the development of our events, programming, accessibility arrangements, volunteer management, trader facilities, sponsorship packages and community engagement activities. We continually review suggestions received from participants and partners and use this feedback to improve future events, strengthen local partnerships and ensure that our activities continue to provide meaningful community benefit.
