| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| The financial statements are presented in sterling (£), which is the functional currency of the company. |
| Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty |
| The preparation of financial statements requires the directors to make estimates and judgements that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities. |
| The key areas of judgement are: |
| Depreciation of tangible fixed assets |
| Estimates are made in determining the useful economic lives of assets. |
| Provision for doubtful debts |
| Judgement is applied in assessing the recoverability of trade debtors. |
| Deferred taxation |
| Estimation is required in determining the extent and timing of deferred tax balances. |
| Turnover |
| Turnover represents amounts receivable for VAT consultancy services provided during the year, excluding value added tax. Revenue is recognised when services are performed and the right to consideration has been established. |

| Deferred tax |
| Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
| Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
| Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |
| Going concern |
| The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The directors have considered the company’s financial position and are satisfied that it will be able to meet its liabilities as they fall due for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of these financial statements. |
