COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

BLUE SKY CONNECTIONS CIC

Company Number: 16013479 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

Blue Sky Connections CIC was set up to support people experiencing isolation, poor mental health and barriers to accessing wellbeing activities. During our first financial year, I focused on establishing the CIC, planning the Slow Seasons Project, developing resources, building local partnerships and putting the foundations in place for future community delivery. Towards the end of the financial year, we were awarded National Lottery funding, which enabled us to begin putting these plans into action. Although only limited delivery had taken place before the year end, the work completed during this period created a strong foundation for supporting people in our local community through creative wellbeing activities designed to reduce isolation, improve mental wellbeing and encourage positive connections.

Consultation with stakeholders

During the development of Blue Sky Connections CIC, we spoke with potential participants, local contacts and people with lived experience of isolation and poor mental health to better understand the support that was needed. Feedback showed that many people found it difficult to attend group activities due to anxiety, poor mental health, disability or caring responsibilities. This feedback directly influenced the design of the Slow Seasons Project, which provides creative wellbeing activities that can be completed at home at each participant’s own pace, helping to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.

Directors' remuneration

One director received remuneration of £500 during the financial year for project management work carried out in connection with the establishment of the CIC and the initial development of the Slow Seasons Project. No other directors received remuneration during the period.

Transfer of assets

No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
