During the financial year, We Are Frieda C.I.C. delivered specialist training, consultancy and research to improve responses to domestic abuse, sexual violence and safeguarding. Our work focused on promoting trauma-informed, person-centred and intersectional practice across statutory, voluntary and community organisations. We delivered professional training to practitioners working with victim-survivors, increasing knowledge, confidence and competence in responding to domestic abuse, sexual violence and the experiences of marginalised communities. We also undertook research and consultancy to support organisations in developing more inclusive and effective services, with particular attention to reducing inequalities experienced by Black and racially minoritised women and girls. The company's activities contributed to improved professional practice, strengthened safeguarding, and increased awareness of the barriers faced by underserved communities. Any profits generated were reinvested into the company's social purpose of improving services, developing educational resources and expanding access to specialist training.
During the financial year, the company consulted with a range of stakeholders, including victim-survivors, practitioners, commissioners, partner organisations and training participants. Consultation took place through participant feedback forms, evaluation surveys, one-to-one discussions, meetings with partner organisations, and engagement during the delivery of training and consultancy projects. Feedback from stakeholders informed the ongoing development of the company's training programmes, educational resources and consultancy services. This included strengthening the focus on trauma-informed, intersectional and culturally responsive practice, refining course content to better meet practitioners' needs, and ensuring that the lived experiences of victim-survivors continued to shape the company's work and future service development.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £11,142.68. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
