NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR FROM 05 OCTOBER 2024 TO 31 OCTOBER 2025
1. Accounting policies

The principal accounting policies are summarised below. They have all been applied consistently throughout the financial year, unless otherwise stated.

General information and basis of accounting

Tyco IT Ltd (the Company) is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in the United Kingdom under the Companies Act 2006 and is registered in England and Wales. The address of the Company's registered office is C/O Pm+M New Century House, Greenbank Technology Park, Challenge Way, Blackburn, BB1 5QB, United Kingdom.

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, modified to include certain items at fair value, and in accordance with Section 1A of Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS 102) ‘The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland’ issued by the Financial Reporting Council and the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 as applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The financial statements are presented in pounds sterling which is the functional currency of the Company and rounded to the nearest £.

Going concern

The director has assessed the Balance Sheet and likely future cash flows at the date of approving these financial statements. The director has a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence and to meet its financial obligations as they fall due for at least 12 months from the date of signing these financial statements. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.

Reporting period length

The financial statements are presented for a period longer than one year due to being the Company's first reporting period. As such, the financial statements may not be entirely comparable with future financial periods.

Turnover

Turnover is stated net of VAT and trade discounts and is recognised when the significant risks and rewards are considered to have been transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the sale of goods is recognised when the goods are physically delivered to the customer.

Taxation

Current tax
Current tax is provided at amounts expected to be paid (or recoverable) using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted at the Balance Sheet date.

Impairment of assets

Assets, other than those measured at fair value, are assessed for indicators of impairment at each Balance Sheet date. If there is objective evidence of impairment, an impairment loss is recognised in the Profit and Loss Account as described below.

Stocks

Stocks are stated at the lower of cost and estimated selling price less costs to sell, which is equivalent to the net realisable value. Cost includes materials only.

At each reporting date, an assessment is made for impairment. Any excess of the carrying amount of stocks over its estimated selling price less costs to complete and sell is recognised as an impairment loss in profit or loss. Reversals of impairment losses are also recognised in profit or loss.

2. Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty

In the application of the Company’s accounting policies, the director is required to make judgements that have a significant impact on the amounts recognised. The following are the critical judgements that the director has made in the process of applying the Company’s accounting policies and that have the most significant effect on the amounts recognised in the financial statements.
