During the financial year, the company operated on a small scale from a home kitchen while establishing the business and generating initial income through the sale of baked goods. Revenue during the year was limited, and as a result the company's ability to deliver wider community activities was also limited. The business has carried out early-stage trading through community markets and pop-up events. This has enabled us to test our products and customer demand while building a local customer base ahead of opening permanent premises. Although turnover has been intentionally limited, the response has been very encouraging, with products regularly selling out at markets and strong engagement from the local community. A shop premises is now in the pipeline, with full trading expected to commence later this year. The company's focus during the year has been to establish a sustainable business that will enable it to deliver its community interest objectives. As the business grows, we intend to use future profits to support community-focused baking initiatives, including providing affordable baked goods, running baking workshops, creating volunteering opportunities and working with local community groups. The activities undertaken during the year have established the foundations needed to deliver these longer-term community benefits.
