Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 December 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover comprises the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the company plus grants received, net of Value Added Tax (where VAT registered) and trade discounts.

    Other accounting policies

    Related Party Transactions Lauren Packham was paid £800 as a contractor Iridescent Ideas (which Gareth Hart is a director of) was paid £2,000 as a contractor

Company activities and impact

During 2025, on behalf of our members, Plymouth Social Enterprise Network (PSEN) has: Delivered on the fifth year’s priorities against the social enterprise strategy for the city Held meetings for social enterprises and interested parties in Plymouth Delivered the Plymouth Social Enterprise City Festival in November 2025 with a theme about renewal and inclusion Worked with the Rank Foundation on its programme for Plymouth’s social enterprises Worked strategically to ensure that inclusive growth and social value are priorities for Plymouth Worked with the Plymouth Growth Board and other strategic partners to ensure social enterprise is embedded in economic policy for the city

Consultation with stakeholders

We have various stakeholders: We have over 80 members. We consult these through our network meetings and regular newsletters and social media Strategic partners such as SEUK, Plymouth City Council, University of Plymouth, funders and others. We consult these through regular meetings - e.g., we are closely involved with the City Council informing about strategy and policy. We are involved in Plymouth’s Inclusive Growth Group and Social Value Task Group which advocates for fairer economic growth in the city. We attend the national SEUK places meetings. Action taken in response has been: Developed membership benefits such as discounts with SEUK Worked with the city council to improve social enterprise relevant policies such as commissioning for social value, economic policy and inclusive growth work

Directors' remuneration

Directors’ direct gross remuneration was £0. We paid two directors and/or their associated companies – as related party transactions – for project delivery services totalling £2,800.
