Community activities carried out during the year During this reporting period, the CIC delivered a range of activities supporting vulnerable individuals and strengthening community wellbeing. We carried out homeless outreach and welfare support, including the distribution of care packages in Bognor Regis by volunteers. Items distributed included hygiene products, water, warm clothing, and knitted hats and gloves donated by local supporters. We also provided pro bono legal assistance. A member supported a disabled woman through a court process at no cost, to help ensure fair representation and safeguarding. We supported a local food bank by assisting with the distribution of food parcels to individuals and families experiencing hardship. We also contributed to the restoration of Woodbank Hall, working alongside multiple stakeholders to help develop the site into a future rehabilitation centre for homeless veterans. This included collaborative planning, volunteer support, and participation in early stage community engagement. In addition, we provided general support for individuals experiencing homelessness, including practical assistance, signposting, and wellbeing checks. We also undertook youth and community engagement through involvement in community-based youth activities. We provided ongoing informal crisis support for individuals facing hardship, mental health challenges, or social vulnerability. These activities were delivered voluntarily by members of the CIC and reflect our commitment to serving those most in need.
