Exemption from preparing consolidated financial statements
|
The Company, and the Group headed by it, qualify as small as set out in section 383 of the Companies Act 2006 and the parent and Group are considered eligible for the exemption to prepare consolidated accounts.
The directors have assessed the Statement of financial position and likely future cash flows at the date of approving these financial statements. The company is supported through loans from a parent company.
The directors have received assurances that the loan facilities will continue to be available for at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements and the parent company will continue to support the company through that period. After making enquiries and considering the cash flow forecast, the directors believe that any foreseeable debts can be met for at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.
Investments in subsidiaries are measured at cost less accumulated impairment.

Cash and cash equivalents
|
Cash is represented by cash in hand and deposits with financial institutions repayable without penalty on notice of not more than 24 hours. Cash equivalents are highly liquid investments that mature in no more than three months from the date of acquisition and that are readily convertible to known amounts of cash with insignificant risk of change in value.
Short-term creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other financial liabilities, including bank loans, are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
