London Independent Story Prize introduced 39 new writers to the industry and published a New Writing Anthology. We organised our Anthology Launch event, inviting new and established writers to our local library, Putney Library. The event started at 5:00 pm and ran until 8:00 pm. We had an estimated 60 guests on the day. It was a public event and free. Our guests included elderly residents, young locals interested in expressing themselves through writing, established writers, and A Level students. We introduced 18 new scriptwriters and filmmakers through our screenplay and film competitions. We provided free waivers for British filmmakers. We recognised the talent of these writers and filmmakers and improved their chances of being visible in the publishing industry. We organised a screening and film festival event at The Curzon Victoria and invited notable industry professionals. 25 percent of our writers and filmmakers built meaningful connections that could lead to future jobs. We approved 100 percent of the free submission requests for writers in need for our creative writing competitions. We also approved 100 percent of free film submission requests from British filmmakers and British screenwriters who were in need.
