The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 October 2025

Principal activities of the company

This was the Company's first year of operation. During the year, the Company established its activities and held a number of networking and educational events to support women working within the film industry. Whilst activity during the period was limited as the Company became established, the directors are encouraged by the positive response from attendees and the growing level of engagement. Since the year end, the Company has experienced increased interest and has expanded its programme of events. The directors remain committed to developing the Company's activities and furthering its community interest objectives by providing opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and professional development for women in the film industry.

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, the Company continued to deliver activities that provide tangible benefits to women working within the film industry. Through the organisation of networking events, the Company created opportunities for members to build professional relationships, share experiences and expand their career opportunities within the sector. In addition, the Company hosted educational events featuring expert speakers who provided practical guidance on topics relevant to members' professional and personal development. These included sessions covering tax responsibilities, financial planning and maternity-related matters, equipping attendees with knowledge that is often not readily accessible within the industry. By fostering a supportive professional community and improving access to valuable information and expertise, the Company's activities have contributed to the advancement, confidence and long-term success of women in the film industry.

Consultation with stakeholders

The Company regularly engages with its stakeholders, primarily the women who attend its events and workshops, through informal discussions and feedback following each event. Attendees have consistently reported that they found the networking opportunities and educational sessions to be valuable and relevant to their careers. Feedback has also indicated a strong desire for similar events to continue, with suggestions for future topics and speakers. This ongoing engagement helps the Company to shape its programme of activities and ensure that it continues to meet the needs of the community it serves.
