The Company's objective is to raise awareness of the climate crisis and support the residents and users of Hazlemere in becoming better informed about environmental issues and actions that can help mitigate the effects of global warming. In furtherance of these objectives, the Company has undertaken the following community activities: - The Company organised its annual Bee Square initiative, through which approximately 3500 households in Hazlemere received packets of wildflower seeds for planting in private gardens, communal spaces and other suitable locations. The project aims to support local biodiversity by providing additional food sources and habitats for pollinators, particularly bees. By encouraging residents to participate, the initiative promotes environmental awareness and contributes to improving local pollinator populations. - The Company operates a monthly Repair Cafe service for local residents. The service provides practical advice and repair assistance for broken household items, helping to reduce waste, encourage reuse, and promote sustainable living practices. The Repair Cafe typically assists between 20 and 30 residents at each session, with additional visitors attending for advice and information. The initiative has increased community awareness of repair and reuse opportunities and supports the reduction of items being discarded unnecessarily. - The Company is developing additional projects and community events that support its environmental objectives, including initiatives focused on sustainability, waste reduction, biodiversity enhancement and climate change awareness. These activities continue to deliver community benefit by encouraging environmental responsibility, promoting sustainable practices and engaging local residents in positive action to address climate-related challenges.
