Basis of measurement and preparation of accounts
Basis of preparation. These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the micro-entity provisions. The directors intend to propose an arrangement with the company's creditors with a view to the continuation of the company's business, and these accounts have been prepared to give creditors a complete and prudent statement of the company's position: assets are carried at their estimated recoverable amounts and all known obligations are recognised in full. In view of the company's net liability position at the balance sheet date, the accounts have been prepared on a basis other than that of a going concern. Creditor balances include amounts claimed by or attributed to third parties which the company has not yet verified or agreed with the relevant counterparties; their inclusion reflects the prudent basis of preparation adopted and does not constitute an admission by the company of liability for, or of the quantum of, any individual claim. The company is pursuing recoveries from third parties in respect of amounts paid or assets lost in prior periods; in accordance with the prudence principle, no amounts have been recognised in respect of such recoveries. The amount included within current assets at 30 June 2025 was recovered in full in cash after the balance sheet date.
Prior period adjustment. In the course of preparing these accounts the directors undertook a review of the company's records against independent third-party documentation. Following that review, the comparative amounts as at 30 June 2024 have been restated to align the previously reported carrying amounts of certain assets and creditors with the underlying records, and to recognise amounts owed to the director which had not previously been recorded. The effect is to restate shareholders' funds at 30 June 2024 from £197,710, as previously reported, to £(168,417). The restatement has no effect on the result for the current year.
