The company’s activities have benefited the community by creating opportunities for creativity, wellbeing, empowerment, and connection throughout the financial year. The delivery of four creative writing workshops supported participants’ creativity, confidence, and emotional wellbeing, while also promoting the value of creative arts and wellbeing within the workplace and wider community. The company worked in partnership with women’s groups and seniors’ groups, providing inclusive spaces where participants could share their experiences, develop their voices, and contribute to the creative process. These activities supported the empowerment of women and older residents, recognising the importance of intersectional and intergenerational experiences in shaping community stories and preserving local heritage. Through the involvement of young producers, participants were supported in the process of developing and producing creative work, encouraging collaboration between generations and building skills, confidence, and leadership among young people. The programme helped to build a connected and empowered Brent community where stories inspire, heal, and unite. Direct beneficiaries included seniors, young people, women participants, facilitators, and writers who gained opportunities for creative expression, learning, and personal development. Indirectly, the benefits extended to families, neighbours, and the wider community by sharing stories, celebrating diverse voices, and preserving participants’ legacies for future generations through storytelling, publishing, and community events.
