Lief Foundation CIC operates a platform that helps individuals direct charitable donations to good causes. During the financial year the company received donations from members of the public totalling £3,204.08 and made its first distribution to a beneficiary charity, a payment of £2,544.50 to Huntington's Disease Association. The community benefited in two ways. First, the recipient charity was able to apply the funds towards its charitable objects, supporting the beneficiaries it serves. Second, the company reduced the barriers to giving by providing donors with a straightforward and accessible means of directing money to the causes they wished to support. Donations collected but not yet distributed at the year end are held by the company pending onward payment to charitable beneficiaries. By connecting donors with charities and passing funds through to them, the company has widened access to charitable giving and directed money to front line causes.
