Notes to the Financial Statements
1. General Information
Vg Recycling Group Limited is a private company, limited by shares, incorporated in England & Wales, registered number 10539557. The registered office is
Harrow Business Centre, 429-433 Pinner Road, North Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 4HN.
2. Accounting Policies
2.1. Basis of Preparation of Financial Statements
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section  lA of the standard).
2.2. Going Concern Disclosure
The directors have assessed the company's ability to continue as a going concern. At the time of approving the financial statements, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future, being a period of at least twelve months from the date these financial statements are authorised for issue. Accordingly, the financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis.
2.3. Turnover
Turnover represents the fair value of consideration received or receivable for goods sold and services provided in the normal course of business, net of discounts and value added taxes. Revenue is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership of the goods have been transferred to the buyer, which is typically upon delivery.
2.4. Tangible Fixed Assets and Depreciation
Tangible  fixed  assets  are  measured  at cost  less accumulative  depreciation  and  any accumulative impairment losses. Depreciation is provided on all tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, at rates  calculated  to  write off  the  cost, less estimated  residual  value, of each  asset evenly over its expected useful life, as follows:
Leasehold Straight line 33.33%
Motor Vehicles reducing balance 25%
Computer Equipment reducing balance 25%
2.5. Taxation
Taxation represents the sum of tax currently payable and deferred tax. The company's liability for current tax is calculated using tax rates that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period. Deferred tax is recognised on all timing differences between the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities in the financial statements and the corresponding tax bases used in the computation of taxable profit. The carrying amount of deferred tax assets is reviewed at the end of each reporting period and reduced to the extent that it is no longer probable that sufficient taxable profits will be available to allow all or part of the asset to be recovered. Deferred tax assets and liabilities are measured at the tax rates that are expected to apply in the period in which the liability is settled or the asset realised, based on tax rates (and tax laws) that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the end of the reporting period.
2.6. Pensions
Contributions to defined contribution plans are expensed in the period to which. they relate.
2.7. Debtors
Short term debtors are measured  at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price), less any impairment  losses  for  bad  and  doubtful  debts.  Loans  and  other  financial  assets  are  initially recognised  at  transaction  price  including  any  transaction  costs  and  subsequently  measured  at amortised cost determined  using the effective interest method,  less any impairment  losses for bad and doubtful debts.
2.8. Creditors
Short term creditors are measured  at transaction  price (which is usually the invoice  price). Loans and other financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price net of any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method.
2.9. Provisions
Provisions (ie liabilities of uncertain timing or amount) are recognised when there is an obligation at  the  reporting  date  as  a  result  of  a  past  event,  it  is  probable  that  economic  benefit  will  be transferred to settle the obligation and the amount of the obligation can be estimated reliably.
