During the last financial year we delivered a range of art and creative craft projects targeting vulnerable groups including families, children, young people, older adults and carers. Key activities included: Community Healing Projects: We offered expressive arts programmes for individuals and carers facing disenfranchisement, isolation, poverty and social or economic challenges. We used mixed media resources to promote sustainable creativity and build life and art skills. Workshops with Carers: we worked with groups of adult carers and parent carers of SEND children. This was focused on addressing wellbeing and improving mental health. Over the year we have worked with six cohorts of eight carers as well as around 70 people in our community groups. Overall people report improved wellbeing, increased social connections and better family relationships.
HeArts continues to engage with a wide range of stakeholder. This year we focused on carers and organisations who work with them as well as SEND groups. We have started to engage with Corporates to assess the need for our services as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility and as ways to improve staff wellbeing.
