Basis of preparation of financial statements
|
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified within these accounting policies and in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102, the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and the Companies Act 2006. The disclosure requirements of Section 1A of FRS 102 have been applied other than where additional disclosure is required to show a true and fair view.
The following principal accounting policies have been applied:
The director considers that the preparation of the financial statements on a going concern basis is appropriate as the company’s parent undertaking Sontex SA., has provided the company with confirmation that for at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements they will provide adequate support to the company as may be required.
The director is satisfied that the parent company has the financial ability to provide such support as needed.
Thus, the director does not consider there to be any material uncertainty relating to the Company’s ability to continue as a going concern and have prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis.
