COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

MIND CONNECT MENTAL HEALTH CIC

Company Number: 15192777 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 5 April 2026

Company activities and impact

Mind Connect Mental Health CIC provides accessible, community-based mental health support to people experiencing mild to severe mental ill-health across Liverpool and Knowsley. During the period ending 5th April 2026, the company delivered 1,620 support sessions through a combination of group wellbeing sessions, one-to-one support and drop-in services, operating from community hubs in Speke, Garston, Kirkby, Huyton, Prescot and online/telephone. The company works in formal partnership with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust to provide support to people discharged from secondary mental health care, helping them reintegrate into their communities and reduce the risk of crisis readmission. Mind Connect also delivers mental health education in community hubs, schools and workplaces. Within this period we also launched Mind Connect Community (MCC), an online mental health membership platform providing peer support, mental health resources, community discounts and access to one-to-one coaching. Mind Connect's open-door approach ensures that no one is turned away regardless of the severity of their mental health needs. The company works closely with a range of local partners including GP services, South Liverpool Homes, SWAGGA PCN and other local voluntary organisations to reach vulnerable and underserved residents across Merseyside. The company's activities have benefited the community by providing timely, accessible mental health support to people who would otherwise face significant barriers to care, reducing isolation, building resilience, and supporting long-term recovery and community reintegration for some of Liverpool's most vulnerable residents

Consultation with stakeholders

Mind Connect's stakeholders include service users, Peer Support Volunteers, partner organisations, and the wider communities of Liverpool and Knowsley. Service users are consulted regularly through feedback forms, informal conversations, and the Mind Connect Community platform, where members actively vote on events and activities and contribute to shaping session content. As a direct result of this feedback, new wellbeing sessions were developed and launched during the period, and mental health resources on the MCC platform were redesigned to be more accessible following volunteer feedback. Peer Support Volunteers are involved in co-designing wellbeing sessions and community events, ensuring that the company's activities reflect the real needs of those it supports. The company engages with its broader stakeholder network through attendance at local partnership meetings including Neighbourhood Partnership Planning South Liverpool, South Liverpool Homes Partnership Meetings, and LCVS Health and Wellbeing Networking Meetings. These forums provide ongoing insight into community need and inform the development of Mind Connect's services. Feedback from Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust and other health partners is used to ensure that contracted services continue to meet the needs of people discharged from secondary mental health care.

Directors' remuneration

Two directors received remuneration during the period in their capacity as full-time employees of the company.
