During the period 16 October 2024 to 31 October 2025, Asian Girls Run CIC was established and set up the infrastructure to deliver its community purpose. The company's activities directly benefited the community in the following ways: Club Setup & Infrastructure: The CIC was incorporated and immediately began establishing a run club and community for women from Asian backgrounds in South West and East London. It is our mission to tackle the inactivity gap in the UK and continue to diversify the demographic of mass participation races in the UK. This included developing a website, marketing materials, and core club operations designed to break down cultural barriers to physical activity. Asian Girls Run was set up to help build community identity and visibility, encouraging membership and belonging. The community benefited through the creation of a culturally specific, inclusive, and free-to-access running programmes designed to address the low participation rates of Asian women in physical activity, as highlighted by national reports. The activities in this period were focused on ensuring the club could launch safely and sustainably. -In 2024-2025, we engaged with over 300 Asian women across London to uptake in their very first running activities. The women in our community have since gone on to take on their very first running races, Including over 30 taking on their first half marathons and 15 women running their very first London Marathons. -Increased inactivity levels across our members, seeing a 95% increase in physical activity rates, which is reflective of the retention rates for our members in a supportive community. -85% report having an increased sense of belonging, feeling happier and improved mental health -4 members from low income were given the opportunity to take part in their first half marathon races at no cost to them. -Upskilling our existing members was in our sustainability plan, as they now volunteer to continue leading free weekly run clubs in the communities. We have successfully put 6 women through run leader training, ensuring that sessions would be led by qualified England Athletics run leaders, prioritising safety and inclusivity from the outset.
