Missplaces CIC continues to deliver wellbeing sessions, craft based and needlecraft workshops and activities to its current members and to women in the wider community three days a week. This year we invited sessional facilitators to our group and they delivered two flower decorating workshops, two art sessions and a clay workshop session. We have also introduced Chair Yoga. This meant that we were able to reach even more women in the wider community who attended these sessions. The Sewing Club that we introduced last year continues with more women joining the group and they all continue to develop their skills. As most of our members are often vulnerable women experiencing mental health issues, who may also have a disability and life limiting illnesses we have provided support to these women in a safe and non judgmental environment. Our members continue to grow in confidence and they have formed friendships with other members and this growth has lead to them becoming volunteers at our fund raising events throughout the year Missplaces CIC was successful for receiving an award from the National Lottery Community Fund which has enabled us to continue running our services paying our overheads and purchasing an embroidery machine.
