During the financial year ended 31 August 2025, Orange Bow CIC benefited the community by delivering educational, mentoring and personal-development activities. The company spent £135,604 directly on mentoring and progression support, workshops, lecturing and educational podcast activities. These services provided participants with access to learning, guidance, practical skills and opportunities to improve their personal and professional prospects. A further £40,181 was invested in staff training, helping ensure that the company’s programmes were delivered by suitably trained and capable personnel. The company employed an average of nine people during the year, strengthening its capacity to deliver community-focused services. The company received £260,998 in grants, which helped fund these activities and enabled services to be provided to the community. As Orange Bow CIC is limited by guarantee and has no shareholders, the £12,061 surplus generated during the year was retained within the organisation to support the continuation and future development of its community-benefit activities.
During the financial year, the company maintained ongoing informal consultation with its stakeholders, including programme participants, workshop attendees, mentors, lecturers, employees, grant providers and community partners. Feedback was obtained through discussions during and after activities, direct communications with participants, staff meetings and engagement with funding organisations. Stakeholders were invited to comment on the relevance, accessibility and quality of the company’s mentoring, workshops, lectures and educational content. The feedback received helped the company review its programme delivery, identify participants’ support and progression needs, improve the content of workshops and learning activities, and determine areas where additional staff training was required. No separate formal stakeholder consultation exercise was undertaken during the year. However, the ongoing feedback received through the company’s day-to-day activities was considered by the directors when planning and developing future community programmes.
During the financial year ended 31 August 2025, director Ryan Bakare received gross salary remuneration of £8,400 for services provided to the company.
