During the financial year, AlTreka CIC focused on developing the organisation, establishing robust governance, and building partnerships to support the future delivery of community wellbeing activities. Although the company did not secure external funding during the year and therefore did not deliver funded community programmes, significant progress was made in preparing for future impact. This included developing accessible wellbeing initiatives, consulting with community stakeholders, building relationships with referral organisations, recruiting and supporting volunteers, and preparing funding applications designed to benefit people experiencing loneliness, poor mental health, social isolation and other barriers to wellbeing. These activities have laid a strong foundation for the company’s future work and have increased awareness of AlTreka CIC within the local community. The directors remain committed to delivering nature-based wellbeing activities using alpacas to improve physical activity, mental wellbeing and social connection as funding opportunities become available.
During the financial year, AlTreka CIC has consulted with a range of stakeholders to help shape the organisation’s future development and ensure our activities reflect local need. This has included discussions with volunteers, potential beneficiaries, local community organisations, healthcare professionals, social prescribing teams and local councils. Although the organisation has not yet secured external funding, feedback from these stakeholders has been invaluable in developing our project proposals and identifying areas of community demand. We have also engaged with local authorities and funding bodies during the preparation of grant applications, ensuring our planned services are informed by community priorities and partnership working. The Board remains committed to ongoing consultation with stakeholders as the organisation grows. The insights gained during the year have strengthened our plans for future wellbeing projects and will continue to influence decision-making and the development of services that deliver meaningful social impact.
