COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

OUTABILITY CIC

Company Number: 16097779 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Outability CIC organised and promoted outdoor activities aimed at encouraging people to spend time outdoors, improve their physical and mental wellbeing and build social connections. Activities included guided camping weekends and kayaking events that were open to members of the community regardless of experience. The company provided opportunities for people to meet others, develop confidence in outdoor environments and take part in affordable group activities. Feedback from participants was positive with members benefitting from increased social interaction, improved confidence and greater engagement with outdoor recreation. Although the company operated on a small scale during its first financial year and made a financial loss, all income was reinvested into delivering activities and covering the costs of organising community events. The company's primary purpose remained the delivery of community benefit rather than generating profit.

Consultation with stakeholders

Outability CIC consulted with participants and members of its outdoor community throughput the financial year. Feedback was obtained through conversations during events, social media and online group discussions. Participants commented on event locations, activity types, affordability and accessibility. This feedback was used to plan future camping weekends and kayaking events, select suitable venues and keep activities affordable and inclusive. The company will continue to consult participants to ensure its activities meet the needs of the community it serves.
