Principal activities of the company

The Company is the UK asset management arm of the Lombard Odier group (“LO Group”), a global private banking, asset management and banking technology infrastructure group headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The principal business activity of the Company is the management of collective investment funds and discretionary investment mandates for institutional clients.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Revenue is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable and represents the amount receivable for services rendered, net of discounts and rebates allowed by the Company and value added taxes.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are stated at historic purchase cost less accumulated depreciation. Cost includes the original purchase price of the asset and the costs attributable to bringing the asset to its working condition for its intended use. Depreciation is provided on a straight line basis to write off the cost of tangible fixed assets over their estimated useful lives as follows: Office equipement and furniture – 1-3 years Short-term leasehold improvements – over the period of lease

8. Financial Commitments

Commitments of lease payments under non-cancellable operating leases. During the year, the Company awarded long term deferred bonuses to a number of key employees. The amount awarded is charged on a straight line basis to the profit and loss account from the date when service by the employee first leads to the award, until the date when no further service by the employee is required to receive the award.
