During the financial year, Tamir Welfare Organization C.I.C. supported disadvantaged children, people with disabilities and vulnerable families in Faisalabad, Pakistan. The company helped maintain Al-Barkat School and its inclusive education services, supported physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and provided assistance for a child requiring a body brace. It also funded Ramadan food packages for up to 100 low-income families. The company improved the safety and continuity of community services by supporting heating and air-conditioning equipment, solar panels, inverter and backup batteries, particularly during electricity outages. It also supported equipment repairs and activities connected with Deafblind World Day to raise awareness of disability and inclusion. These activities benefited the community by improving access to education, rehabilitation, practical disability support, food assistance and a safer, more reliable environment for children, families and other service users. The company’s funds were used for community benefit and not for private profit.
The company’s stakeholders included children and adults with disabilities, their parents and carers, families receiving community support, teachers, physiotherapy staff, community workers, local representatives and donors. Consultation took place through meetings, telephone and WhatsApp discussions, home and community visits, feedback from parents and beneficiaries, staff discussions and communication with donors about project needs. In response to feedback, the company supported physiotherapy services, a body brace for a child, heating and air-conditioning, solar panels, inverter and backup batteries, equipment repairs, Ramadan food support and activities promoting disability awareness and inclusion. The feedback helped the company prioritise practical needs and make its services safer and more reliable.
