Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 July 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

Company activities and impact

The company runs various art and wellbeing classes for the local Leeds and West Yorkshire chronic illness communities. In particular, Long COVID AND ME/ CFS. We support a fortnightly online group of participants to keep creative and connected with each other. We then run small group classes to participants who are beginners to Art. This year we also ran a Poetry and Painting course, which was a new pilot and explored the creative process of both writing and art together. The team has grown and we support two people with part time/ freelance work opportunities and these people have been previous participants who have long term chronic conditions.

Consultation with stakeholders

We regularly get feedback from our groups, reflect and make changes accordingly. We have applied for National Lottery funding and so have been very active in involving all participants in the direction of the CIC. We hold team meetings and make decisions together over Zoom. We are a very small committee.
