Company activities and impact

We have delivered three successful courses during this period with others planned. The courses help to provide the skills and confidence for older people to either return to employment, volunteering within the third-sector or further training. The benefit to the company is evidenced by the statistics to date where 84% of those who have attended our course took positive steps towards employment and feel that their overall well being has improved together with self confidence and a belief they can now achieve. We received support from the National Lottery during this period and were also supported by a local housing association, Onward Homes. We have worked with other agencies such as local Job Centres, Housing Associations and Social Prescribing Teams. We have successfully created the template for the training material which can be rolled out in other areas when a schedule is agreed by all directors.
