During the reporting period, Coodal achieved several important milestones and undertook activities to strengthen its governance and support community development. 1. Charity Commission Registration Coodal was successfully registered with the Charity Commission on 10 July 2025, marking a significant milestone in the organisation's development and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. 2. Development of the Coodal Website Coodal successfully developed and launched the Coodal website (https://coodal.org/), providing an online platform to share information about the mission, activities, and programmes with members, partners, donors, and the wider public. 3. External Assessments of Thrift and Credit Cooperative Societies (TCCSs) Independent external assessors were appointed to evaluate the activities and performance of three Thrift and Credit Cooperative Societies (TCCSs) in Badulla. Their assessments identified areas for improvement and provided valuable recommendations that benefited approximately 80 families served by these societies. 4. Monitoring Visit by the President Dr. Shanmugadahan, President of Coodal, visited all three TCCSs in Badulla and met with the majority of their members. During these visits, members presented updates on their activities, achievements, and ongoing projects. The visits strengthened engagement with the communities and provided valuable insights into the progress and challenges of the societies.
Coodal's primary stakeholders are: The members and supporters, who contribute to and promote the work of Coodal. Members of the Thrift and Credit Cooperative Societies (TCCSs), whom Coodal supports through financial assistance and capacity-building initiatives. Coodal maintain regular communication with our stakeholders through a variety of channels, including: Direct telephone calls WhatsApp groups Email groups A monthly newsletter These communication methods enable us to keep stakeholders informed about the activities, share updates on projects and achievements, gather feedback, and maintain strong relationships with the communities and organisations Coodal support.
