Company activities and impact

During the financial period from 30 November 2024 to 30 November 2025, Outkruit CIC delivered a series of community-focused activities aimed at supporting early-career professionals, students, creatives, and local residents in Nottingham to improve their career prospects, build confidence, and strengthen social connections. We hosted four key initiatives during this period. These included an Office Tour at Thompsons Solicitors in Nottingham, which provided participants with direct exposure to a professional legal environment and helped demystify career pathways within the sector. We also delivered the Corporate Portraits 2025 event, offering accessible professional photography to individuals who may otherwise face financial barriers, thereby supporting their employability and professional presentation. In addition, a Young Professionals Networking Hangout was organised to create a relaxed and inclusive environment for individuals to build connections, share experiences, and reduce social isolation. During this period, the organisation also launched its Corporate Casual series with the first event, Cocktails & Conversations, which introduced an ongoing platform for informal networking and community engagement. Collectively, these activities have benefited the community by increasing access to professional development opportunities, supporting individuals in improving their career readiness, and creating inclusive spaces where people from diverse backgrounds can connect and collaborate. Participants reported increased confidence, improved understanding of career pathways, and stronger professional networks. Through these initiatives, Outkruit has contributed to enhancing employability, promoting social mobility, and strengthening community cohesion within Nottingham.
