    Turnover represents income receivable from the provision and management of accommodation and related services. Turnover is recognised when the service has been provided and the company is entitled to receive the income.

Company activities and impact

Investa Homes CIC was formed to provide benefit to vulnerable adults and those at risk of homelessness who are in need of support by providing them with decent low-cost housing and ancillary services that they would not otherwise be able to afford in the private market. During the year the Company commenced trading and began providing supported accommodation in line with its community interest objectives. The Company generated rental income which was used to meet the costs of providing accommodation, including rent, insurance, professional fees and the ongoing administration of the Company. Any surplus generated during the year has been retained within the Company to strengthen its financial position and support the continued delivery and development of supported housing for vulnerable adults. No dividends were paid.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company consulted with landlords, housing providers, referral organisations and professional advisers during the year. Discussions focused on the availability and suitability of accommodation, the needs of vulnerable adults and people at risk of homelessness, and the practical requirements for delivering safe and affordable supported housing. Feedback received was considered when arranging accommodation and developing the company’s services.
