Company activities and impact: During the year, The Nature Collective CIC continued to pursue its objective of improving health and wellbeing through meaningful engagement with the natural environment and the development of nature-based approaches that can benefit individuals, organisations, communities and the natural world. A significant area of activity was the delivery of nature-based health and wellbeing sessions for employees of organisations in Bristol and the wider West of England. The Nature Collective team delivered sessions for Burges Salmon, a commercial law firm with which the CIC had previously developed a relationship through earlier nature-based wellbeing activity. The CIC also delivered sessions for the Soil Association, a leading charity working to transform the way we eat, farm and care for the natural world. These sessions provided staff with opportunities to step away from their usual working environments and engage in experiential activities designed to support wellbeing, connection, reflection and a deeper relationship with the natural environment. A major developmental activity during the year was The Nature Collective's collaboration with the West of England Nature Partnership and Natural England to explore how businesses and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations could work together more effectively to support nature connection, community health and wellbeing across the West of England. The Nature Collective contributed to a series of workshops and engagements with VCSE organisations and businesses, including as part of the 2025 Festival of Nature. The resulting Thriving Together: Creating Impactful Partnerships for Business, Nature and Community Health report identified opportunities for more collaborative, long-term relationships between businesses and VCSE organisations, including through improved connection and brokerage, shared approaches to social value and impact, and new approaches to funding. The work laid important foundations for continued exploration of how businesses and VCSE organisations can move beyond short-term or transactional relationships towards longer-term collaboration and shared responsibility for positive social and environmental outcomes. The Nature Collective remains committed to this journey and is exploring potential funding sources and ways of bringing together the energy, resources and partnerships needed to sustain and grow the work. The CIC intends to continue developing this work in conversation with regional partners, businesses, VCSE providers and potential funders. The directors believe that this work has established a strong foundation for the continued exploration of collaborative models and longer-term cultural change, alongside the CIC's direct delivery of nature-based health and wellbeing activities. Consultation with stakeholders: Stakeholders were engaged through a series of workshops and conversations with nature, health and community organisations from the VCSE sector, businesses and regional partners. These engagements informed the development of the Thriving Together report and the CIC's ongoing exploration of future collaboration, funding and partnership opportunities.
