Our company is a grassroots, inclusive Olympic-style wrestling club. We set up the company in December 2023 and opened to members in January 2024. During the financial year December 2023 to December 2024 the clubs activities have benefitted the community in the following ways: -We have provided classes that promote health and wellness through sport and fitness. -We have given free classes to asylum seekers to help them assimilate into the community and improve their English. -We have provided free classes and meals for children and teens eligible for the free school meal program over the holidays in partnership with East End Pool and their associated cafe through the help of grants provided by StreetGames. -We have provided part-time work for a few assistant coaches during those holidays to ensure adequate supervision of children and teens. -We provide training at out facility including qualifications for those assistant coaches from the national governing body for our sport.
The company's stakeholders are the members who are part of the club and come from the local area. The directors of the club started with the club and are member as well. Our head coach is a director as well. The head coach meets with every student of the club to make sure they are getting the most out of their membership and learning as much as possible in a safe and fun environment. On June 1st a full meeting (AGM) was held to consult with all members, as well as the parents of kids and teen members, to make sure everyone is involved in decision making processes.
