Company activities and impact

CAMP Membership CIC is a member-led support and professional development network for artists/curators/producers and arts writers living in Devon and Cornwall. CAMP Membership CIC provides exhibitions, online talks, travel bursaries, residencies, mentoring, coaching and exchanges all aimed at supporting the development of artists & arts workers. Over the last year we have also offered a programme called KINections aimed at supporting artists working rurally across Devon & Cornwall. Funded by Arts Council England and the Fenton Trust, this project runs until Summer 2026. CAMP Membership CIC also provides networking opportunities to help creatives meet and be inspired by their peers. As a member-led organisation CAMP Membership CIC prides itself on delivering 'on the ground' activities based on its hyper connectivity to its membership.

Consultation with stakeholders

CAMP Membership CIC stakeholders are our membership of approx 200 artists/curators/producers/arts writers in Devon and Cornwall. Membership is open to any artist/curator/producer/arts writer in Devon and Cornwall. CAMP Membership CIC has 'Working Groups' around various aspects of its organisation, which act as constant consultation and feedback points, these are Making Things Happen; Gathering Resources; Library; and Member Care. All Working Groups are open to CAMP members. All members are able to attend our monthly business meetings. We regularly survey our membership to gather feedback on CAMP's work and what the members wish CAMP to programme, this feedback is used to finesse our offer to members and to improve access to the various opportunities and events that we run. We also hire an independent Evaluator to evaluate our work when we have a funded project. The next report will be available in Summer 2026 at the end of our current KINections project. Members, therefore, have a direct impact on our everyday work, and are constantly contributing to how CAMP Membership CIC works and what services it provides.
