In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. The company runs Kingdom School of Arts, a part-time acting school in London. The school was founded in 2012. During this financial year the school has benefited the community by providing affordable training opportunities for students across London and Birmingham. The school's aim is to offer an opportunity for access to the film, TV and theatre industry for people from a variety of different backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures who might otherwise be overlooked by traditional drama academies. The school also runs a free acting course for students who have shown exceptional talent and professionalism within the school. The school runs this free course for 14 students each year.
The company's stakeholders are the students of Kingdom School of Arts, the company directors, and the staff and tutors running the school. Students are able to reach out to give feedback either via the website or by emailing the staff, and the tutors also create end of term reports which are shared with the staff and company directors to ensure we have a view of students' experience and progress. This enables us to identify the gaps and needs where the students are concerned and create an audition and training process which most benefits them.
