For the year ending 31 October 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

Company activities and impact

The Outdoors People continues to provide low-cost, educational, residential adventure activity services to primary schools throughout the UK. In 2025 we worked with approximately 4300 pupils at 92 different schools This was 10% more schools than we worked with in 2024. Our team travelled from Brighton to Newcastle. 92% of schools rebooked for future years. We provided full-time employment for 4 people We provided part-time employment for 4 people We provided 630 days of freelance employment

Consultation with stakeholders

Our stakeholders are our schools and our staff team. All our schools are given the opportunity to complete a feedback form following a camp. 4 schools chose to complete their feedback form this year (this is much lower than previously and we have instituted changes to try and get more of this information) We received an average score of 4.92 out of 5 across 6 categories. For the question “What did you think of your overall camping experience with The Outdoors People?” 100% of respondents gave us 5 out of 5. 92% of schools rebooked for future years. Several permanent and freelance staff made use of our Hardship Fund over the course of the year. 6 members of our permanent and freelance staff made use of our Training Budget for accredited training this year.
