Ecotherapy East CIC is based in the small village of Bramfield near Halesworth in Suffolk. It was established in 2021 with the aims of promoting wellbeing, educating people in the benefits of nature and outdoor activities and regenerating and rewilding a 12 acre meadow in the village. In the year 2024 to 2025 EE has continued the work of community engagement by organising a range of workshops and local events. The themes of workshops were chosen to reflect the aims of education and self-care and included movement-based workshops, nature therapy and tree planting. There were a total of 8 workshops attracting between 8 and 10 participants each. A Ceilidh in the local village hall attracted 70 people. A tree planting day had 15 local people participating. EE had an Open Day and wildlife walk on the meadow attracting some 50 people from the local area and further afield. EE also offered opportunities for local people to help on the meadow: weeding, tending some of the 500 native trees planted over the last 5 years. Eight land tending events in 2024-2025 attracted an average of 8 volunteers from the local community on each occasion. A successful small grant application was made to support our ongoing programme of community engagement. A newsletter is sent out every 6 weeks with information about events and opportunities.
