Notes to the Financial Statements

for the Period Ended 31 July 2025

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover represents the amounts derived from the provision of goods and services falling within the Company's ordinary activities, after deduction of trade discounts, value added tax and any other taxes based on the amounts so derived. Turnover is recognised to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the Company and the amount can be measured reliably, and is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable. Turnover from the sale of goods (custom padel rackets, equipment and branded merchandise) is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership have been transferred to the buyer. Turnover from the provision of services (coaching, tournament management and event organisation) is recognised in the period in which the services are rendered. Amounts received in advance of goods being delivered or services being rendered are recognised as deferred income.

    Other accounting policies

Basis of preparation: The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102 Section 1A The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland. Stock: Stock is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value. Cost comprises the purchase price of goods for resale, including custom rackets, balls and merchandise. Net realisable value is the estimated selling price less any costs to sell. Debtors and creditors: Debtors and creditors receivable or payable within one year are recorded at the transaction price. Amounts due after more than one year are measured at amortised cost. Taxation: Taxation represents the amounts of corporation tax payable in respect of the reporting period. Deferred tax is recognised in respect of timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. Deferred income: Amounts received in advance of goods being delivered or services being rendered (for example prepaid event entries or coaching) are recognised as deferred income and released to turnover as the goods or services are provided.
