| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| The financial statements are presented in sterling (£), which is the functional currency of the company. |
| Preparation of consolidated financial statements |
| The financial statements contain information about Hive Insurance Services Limited as an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent of a group. The company is exempt under Section 399(2A) of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirements to prepare consolidated financial statements. |
| Critical accounting judgements and key sources of estimation uncertainty |
| The directors consider that there are no critical judgements or key sources of estimation uncertainty that have a significant risk of causing a material adjustment to the carrying amounts of assets and liabilities within the next financial year. |
| Turnover |
| Revenue is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable and represents amounts receivable for goods and services provided in the normal course of business, net of discounts, VAT and other sales-related taxes. Revenue is reduced for estimated customer returns, rebates and other similar allowances. |
| Goodwill |
| Goodwill, being the amount paid in connection with the acquisition of a client list in 2025, is being amortised evenly over its estimated useful life of five years. |

| Deferred tax |
| Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
| Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
| Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |
| Hire purchase and leasing commitments |

| During the year, the company entered into transactions with its wholly owned subsidiary, Hive Insurance Services DAC. |
| Management fees of £72,000 (2024: £nil) were charged during the year. In addition, other transactions totalling £110,618 (2024: £nil) were undertaken. |
| At 31 December 2025, the amount due from Hive Insurance Services DAC was £182,618 (2024: £nil). The balance is interest free and repayable on demand. |
| All transactions were undertaken on normal commercial terms. |
| 17. | ULTIMATE CONTROLLING PARTY |
| The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hive Protect Group Ltd, incorporated in England and Wales. |
| There is no ultimate controlling party, as no individual shareholder or entity exercises control over Hive Protect Group Ltd. |
| 18. | CASH & CASH EQUIVALENTS |
| Cash comprises cash in hand and demand deposits. Cash equivalents are short-term, highly liquid investments that are readily convertible to known amounts of cash and are subject to an insignificant risk of changes in value. |
| Cash and cash equivalents consist solely of balances held in the Company's bank current account. The Company does not hold any short-term investments and does not operate an overdraft facility. |

| There have been no events after the balance sheet date affecting the Company since the financial period. |

| The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The directors have considered the Company's financial position and are satisfied that it has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. |
