| Basis of preparing the financial statements and going concern |
| Trading activity has continued to improve in 2025 as the course matures and corporate activity and bookings grow, with the company delivering an operating profit of £323,026 (2024: Loss £201,120). |
| The golf course has been commended for its professional standards in the South of England. In light of this, the course will be eligible to host more competitions and continue to enhance its brand and increase awareness. |
| Shareholders' funds showed a significant improvement, although they remain in a deficit position of £599,480 (2024: £934,805) |
| The Company is able to rely on the support of its parent company, as required. In light of this, the Directors have prepared these accounts on a going concern basis. |
| Revenue recognition |
| Revenue is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable and represents the amount receivable for services supplied and goods sold, net of returns, discounts and value added taxes. |
| Membership subscriptions are recognised as income in the year that the subscription relates. Joining fees |
| are recognised at the point of sale as they are separate from the annual subscription payments. |
| Takings in relation to green fees, driving range income, accessories, bar and catering sales are recognised at the point of sale. |
| Takings received in advance are deferred and released when the event takes place. |
| Rental income is recognised on an accruals basis. |
| Tangible fixed assets |
| Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. |
| Plant and equipment | 12.5% to 33% on cost |
| Fixtures and fittings | 20% to 50% on cost |
| Motor vehicles | 25% on cost |
| Stocks |
| Food, beverage and golf shop stocks are valued at the lower of cost and selling price less costs to sell and are recorded on an average cost basis. |
| Provision is made for slow moving or obsolete stock as required. |
| Taxation |
| Taxation for the period comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
| Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
| Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |

| Deferred tax |
| Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
| Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the period end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
| Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |
| Hire purchase and leasing commitments |
| Assets obtained under hire purchase contracts or finance leases are capitalised in the balance sheet. Those held under hire purchase contracts are depreciated over their estimated useful lives. Those held under finance leases are depreciated over their estimated useful lives or the lease term, whichever is the shorter. |
| The interest element of these obligations is charged to profit or loss over the relevant period. The capital element of the future payments is treated as a liability. |
| Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to profit or loss on a straight line basis over the period of the lease. |
