Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 October 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for goods supplied and services rendered, net of all discounts and Value Added Tax. Revenue from the sale of goods is recognised when the significant risks and rewards of ownership have transferred to the buyer, usually on despatch of the goods; the amount of revenue can be measured reliably; it is probable that the associated economic benefits will flow to the entity and the costs incurred or to be incurred in respect of the transactions can be measured reliably.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is calculated so as to write off the cost or valuation of an asset, less its residual value, over the useful economic life of that asset as follows: Computer Equipment - 40% reducing balance If there is an indication that there has been a significant change in depreciation rate, useful life or residual value of tangible assets, the depreciation rate is revised prospectively to reflect the new estimates.

Company activities and impact

The Community Interest Company has provided Youth and community services running a Community centre. The services provided have been for a range of children and adults and include running a lunch club, arts and crafts sessions and signposting to other relevant organisations.

Consultation with stakeholders

The local community are the stakeholders and they have been consulted formally and infor-mally as to their needs Informal meetings have been held in the locality and also the University of Cumbria carried out consultations and this feedback was provided to the Community Interest Company. The number of groups and activities that were provided were modified as a result of the consultation and feedback received. Also additional sessions were requested and this was then provided.

Directors' remuneration

During the year the company entered into the following transactions with related parties: Miss D Richardson - During the year, D Richardson received a total remuneration of £32,168 which has been fully paid. Miss L Richardson - During the year, L Richardson trading as Lasartac Training and Consultation received of £O. The directors believe that no provisions are considered necessary.
