During the past year, Global Symbols has focused on upgrading and enhancing our online resources, rebuilding tools and moving our resources onto a lower-cost and more secure server, preserving all of the resources created by members so that they are easier to find and ensuring that the symbol base and tools are well integrated and easy to use. We continue to work with a range of partners to ensure that the resources created are made available to the widest range of beneficiaries at no cost to the user whilst supporting multiple languages and settings and is available across platforms. We completed our contribution to a European Project to develop resources to support access to communication within the legal system and justice process for those with little or no speech and intellectual disabilities, generating a significant number of symbols to support access to the legal process for persons with communication needs A second grant from Microsoft to develop generative AI tools has allowed us to create enhanced AI tools that automatically generate symbols that are consistent with a defined style. This reduces the cost of creating dating symbols to meet the language and cultural needs of specific countries and communities. This has been tested in a range of locations from across the world, including the US, SE Asia and Africa

Global Symbols has continued to consult and communicate with stakeholders in various ways. We have attended major events and conferences attended by Stakeholders to present our work and take feedback on the approach and challenges faced. These have included the m-enabling conference in Washington DC, Communication Matters in the UK and ATIA in Orlando. In addition, we seek feedback regularly via social media and consult informally with users via email and online calls. Our website includes a feedback mechanism where ideas and issues can be raised with the team and acted upon. We have also continued discussions with AAC companies and not-for-profits to take feedback on our AI Symbol Creation tool, which has now been released for public use and have established partnerships with stakeholders in Kenya, Vietnam, Pakistan, Texas and Ethiopia who will be the testing panels for the Beta version of our new tools. Our attendance at events and conferences allows us direct contact with stakeholders including AAC users for more detail conversations and feedback. One of our directors has maintained direct work with AAC users, which informs our thinking
