3. Prior financial year adjustment

During the year, the company identified that depreciation had not previously been charged on its investment property. Under the micro-entity accounting requirements, the property is accounted for at cost less accumulated depreciation and impairment, and depreciation should therefore have been charged over its estimated useful economic life.

The comparative figures have been restated to recognise depreciation on the property on a straight-line basis over 50 years. The effect of the adjustment is to reduce retained earnings at 1 June 2023 by £8,743 and to increase the loss for the year ended 31 May 2024 by £3,170. Accordingly, fixed assets and reserves at 31 May 2024 have been reduced by £11,913.

The adjustment has no impact on the company’s cash position.

4. Post-Balance Sheet Events

There have been no significant events affecting the company since the financial year-end.

5. Director’s advances, credit and guarantees

During the year, the company made interest-free advances to a director amounting to £9,756 (2024: Nil). These were repayable on demand and remain outstanding as at the balance sheet date.

For the financial year ended 31 May 2025 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006.

The director confirms that the members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the financial year in question in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The director acknowledges his responsibilities for ensuring that the company keeps accounting records which comply with section 386 and for preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of the financial year and of its profit and loss for the financial year in accordance with the requirements of sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the company.
