The company was incorporated in 2020 to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) the community of Continental and Diasporan Afrikans domiciled in the United Kingdom. The vision for the use of the building includes providing social facilities, including meeting places, a flexible library/information centre/museum, an advice facility and specialist shops, etc in order to promote and further the cultural, social and economic progress and transformation of the community of benefit. However, its building at 366 High Road, Tottenham, has been in need of substantial repair and fund-raising to that end has been ongoing. In the meantime, public access to the building is restricted for health and safety reasons, and the building is used mainly for the storage of the company's extensive collection of books. For the last five years, the company has taken the portable part of its operations, its extensive collection of books on Afrikan history, on the road and has displayed the books at fairs, market places and other community social gatherings. During the year 2024 to 2025, the company set up stalls and exhibitions at two fairs in both Tottenham and Brixton, and had a significant presence at the official African Liberation Day Celebrations held in Birmingham. The stalls are serviced by volunteers with an interest in Afrikan history and who are able to impart knowledge to the benefit of the community. The benefit for the community is that the books and literature have been made accessible and the community has derived substantial social and educational benefit from this activity/portable library. The company's directors have also participated in online discussions, raising awareness of various aspects of Afrikan and Caribbean history and in so doing, contribute towards meeting elements of the social, cultural and educational needs of the community at large, thereby benefiting the community.
