Company activities and impact

Accrington Football and Sports Club CIC is responsible for maintaining and managing the sports grounds on Livingstone Road, providing a safe and accessible facility for grassroots football within the local community. The grounds serve as the home venue for AFC Ossy Under-11s and Under-12s, Interpro Under-13s and Under-14s, and Peel Park Men's Team. During the football season, the facility supports the participation of over 100 young people and more than 80 adults, providing regular access to training sessions and competitive matches. Our activities include pitch maintenance, grounds management, and ensuring the playing surfaces are safe and suitable for use throughout the season. This work enables local teams to continue delivering organised sport and physical activity opportunities for residents of all ages. The impact of our work extends beyond football. By providing quality sports facilities, we help improve physical health and wellbeing, encourage active lifestyles, and create opportunities for positive social interaction. Young people benefit from developing teamwork, confidence, discipline, and communication skills, while adults gain opportunities to stay active and connected within their community. The facility also brings together players, coaches, volunteers, families, and supporters, helping to strengthen community relationships and promote local pride.
