During the financial year, 180 Degrees Consulting Durham’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: 1) Students at Durham University have gained access to practical consulting experience with real-world clients, allowing them to develop professional skills in areas such as strategy, research, project management and problem-solving that may otherwise be difficult to access while studying 2) Charities and social enterprises have received valuable consulting support at no financial cost, enabling them to access the time, skills and resources of student consultants to address strategic challenges, improve their operations and increase their social impact 3) Local and international non-profit organisations have benefited from additional capacity, as student teams have supported projects involving areas such as fundraising, marketing, growth strategy and organisational development that may not have been possible with limited resources 4) Students have been able to contribute their time and expertise towards creating positive social impact, strengthening the connection between Durham University and the wider community
