Cameye Arts CIC is a not-for-profit storytelling studio based in East London, using film, oral history and participatory arts to preserve and celebrate under-represented histories with the communities they belong to. During the year to 19 December 2025 the company commenced delivery of a two-year, grant-funded community heritage project focused on the preservation and celebration of local LGBTQ+ heritage. The project's activities in the year included pre-production for oral history recording with community members whose stories are at risk of being lost, establishing a project studio, and developing project infrastructure to support delivery of the two-year programme. Community benefit is delivered through the safeguarding of at-risk heritage, its long-term public accessibility (with digital outputs to be released under an open licence), and the depositing of project outputs with the local borough's public heritage service to form part of the borough's permanent collection.
The company's stakeholders comprise the local LGBTQ+ community (the primary beneficiaries), the local borough's public heritage service (as archive partner), local LGBTQ+ community networks, and community members with lived experience relevant to the project. The company consults its stakeholders on an ongoing basis. During the year this included working with the borough's public heritage service on archival methodology, engagement with local LGBTQ+ community networks to identify participants and gather feedback on project design, and advisory input from community members. Stakeholder feedback has directly shaped the project's priorities. No complaints were received during the year.
A total of £8,727.39 was paid in director's remuneration during the year.
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
